This really is a beautiful work. One of the best I have seen in your gallery.
Face is very well executed. Your use of color is interesting, you seem to prefer softer tones, it goes well with the lightness of your watercolor work - it's how watercolors "should" be done, achieving transparency. I love the details, especially the butterfly, you put a lot of time and work into it.
As for the critique part, it is hard to spot any flaws at all. I feel rather strange about the composition itself: the idea of a woman and a butterfly is very poetic but having it placed on the top of her head between her eyes raises a lot of questions in my head. I would place the butterfly anywhere else, so that eyes can follow him in one direction.
Overall, I consider this technically your most advanced work, keep it up
I would like to know what type of paint you used. My water colors don't turn out even remotely like the are suppose to. I do great in ink. Which I need to post after the holidays, but would help me out here? Please.
for this i used some very cheap watercolor from pelikan, but donīt buy them they are really bad ;D i would recommend you the ones from schmincke they are the best. for the beginning those are really good [link] i think the online shop is only for germany but i guess you can also find the colors somewhere else Have fun painting and you can also combine inks with watercolors it works very great and if you donīt have it yet you should buy some watercolor paper too. feel free to ask if i can help you with something else
